Job Summary
The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of employees in the workplace.
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Clinical and Medical Services
- Provide first aid and basic medical treatment to employees during work hours
- Assess and manage work-related injuries and illnesses
- Monitor employees with pre-existing or ongoing medical conditions, as needed
- Administer medications in accordance with company policy and physician’s instructions
- Maintain and update medical and emergency supplies
B. Occupational Health & Safety Compliance
- Assist in implementing the Company’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program
- Monitor compliance with health and safety standards
- Participate in Health and Safety Committee meetings
- Support workplace inspections and health risk assessments
C. Medical Records & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee medical records
- Prepare medical reports, illness logs, and accident reports
- Monitor and document sick leave patterns and health trends
- Ensure compliance with Data Privacy Act of 2012
D. Emergency Preparedness & Response
- Act as first responder during workplace emergencies
- Coordinate with external medical providers, hospitals, and emergency services
- Assist in emergency drills and preparedness programs
E. Health Promotion & Wellness Programs
- Conduct health education sessions (e.g., hygiene, stress management, ergonomics)
- Support company wellness initiatives (e.g., vaccination, health screening)
- Promote preventive healthcare practices among employees
F. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with the Company Physician, HR, and Management
- Refer employees for further medical evaluation when necessary
- Submit regular health and safety reports to HR or Management
Qualifications
Education & Licensure
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license
Experience
- At least 1–2 years experience as a company nurse, clinic nurse, or hospital nurse
- Experience in occupational health or industrial setting is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of OSH standards and workplace health regulations
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and professionally
- High level of confidentiality and ethical conduct
Working Conditions
- Office / clinic-based with possible exposure to medical emergencies
- May be required to work shifts depending on company operations
Authority & Accountability
- Authorized to administer first aid and basic medical care
- Accountable for accuracy and confidentiality of medical records
- Must escalate serious medical conditions to the Company Physician or Management

- Timely and accurate medical response
- Compliance with OSH and company policies
- Proper documentation and reporting
