Responsibilities

- Review patients’ medical records and documentation after hospital admissions to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Assign appropriate ICD and CPT codes based on clinical information and medical guidelines.

- Encode and process patient charts for claims and billing purposes.

- Identify missing, unclear, or conflicting information in the medical record and coordinate for resolution.

- Prepare and submit accurate claims to insurance companies for reimbursement.

- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and comply with all HIPAA and organizational policies.

Requirements

- Graduate of BS Nursing or any Medical-Allied Course.

- Must have an active coding certification such as CIC, CCS, or CPC.

- Minimum of 1 year experience in Inpatient/Outpatient (Profee, ED, OBS and SDS) Coding.

- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding procedures.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong communication and organizational skills.
