Ensures that the company is compliant to Occupational Safety and Health standards.
Assists PCO/SO3 in monitoring company compliance to the regulatory safety and environmental legislation set by DOLE, DENR, and CDC.
Conducts inspection on safety and environmental assessment on all working areas, facilities, and workers to determine inferiority on working areas and its conditions.
Conducts regular safety audits including the inspection of facilities, and work practices to ensure required safety standards.
Facilitate compliance of the CDC with the requirements that may from time to time be prescribed
Recommend to the management the installation and operation of additional equipment for safety purposes
Handle other matters of safety concern
As Safety Officer
Oversee the overall management of the OSH program in coordination to OSH Committee
Frequently monitor and inspect any health or safety aspect of the operation being undertaken with the participation of supervisors and employees
Assist government inspectors in the conduct of safety and health inspection at any time whenever work is being performed or during the conduct of an accident investigation by providing necessary information and OSH reports as required by the OSH standards
Issue work stoppage order (WSO) when necessary, based on the requirements and procedures provided by the OSH standards
Be a part of the OSH / Safety Committee
Prepare Safety reports
Prepare mandated DOLE reports
Job Specification
Bachelor's Degree / College Degree in Engineering or related field.
At least 3 years of work experience in related field is an advantage
With SO2 Certification
PCO accreditation is a plus but not required
Completed the prescribed 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training course (SO2) from any DOLE accredited organization
With strong and dynamic personality and excellent leadership and communication skills
Able to solve problem and troubleshoot as the need arises
Exceptional written and verbal communication Skills
