Education & Certification

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Completion of a vocational or technical training program in automotive repair (preferred)
• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification (often preferred or required)

Experience

• With basic hands-on experience as an auto mechanic or technician (entry-level roles may train)
• Experience with diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and shop software (a plus)
