About the Role

The HR Generalist provides specialized support in administering employee benefits programs, managing core HR operations, and fostering positive employee relations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate timekeeping and payroll coordination, conducting new hire orientations, overseeing the onboarding and offboarding processes, and maintaining compliant and well-organized HR records. The HR Generalist contributes to a positive employee experience and supports the smooth delivery of HR services by upholding legal compliance, promoting operational efficiency, and addressing employee needs effectively.


Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, termination, and claims processing.
  • Assist employees in understanding and utilizing their benefits effectively.
  • Process government statutory payments (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefits and HR records.
  • Conduct new hire orientation to introduce company policies, values, and benefits.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process to ensure a smooth employee integration experience.
  • Oversee the offboarding process, including exit interviews, clearance, and final documentation.
  • Monitor employee attendance and manage timekeeping records using the HRIS.
  • Prepare and consolidate timesheets for payroll processing.
  • Coordinate with payroll and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations related to working hours, overtime, and leaves.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and concerns regarding HR policies, benefits, and timekeeping.
  • Address and help resolve employee relations issues while maintaining a respectful and compliant work environment.
  • Collaborate with insurance providers and external vendors for benefit-related concerns.
  • Uphold confidentiality and data integrity across all HR operations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
  • 2+ years' of experience working in Human Resources
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills


Required Skills

  • Solid knowledge of Philippine labor laws and statutory requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE).
  • Experience in employee benefits administration and government compliance.
  • Proficiency in timekeeping systems and preparing timesheets for payroll processing.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for employee engagement and support.
  • Ability to conduct onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
  • Skilled in handling employee concerns and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proactive, reliable, and capable of managing multiple HR tasks efficiently.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Background in payroll coordination or working closely with payroll teams.
  • Familiarity with conflict resolution or employee relations case handling.
  • Experience working with vendors (e.g., insurance or benefit providers).
  • Exposure to process improvement or HR project support.
