Role Overview

We’re looking for a Junior Product Motion Designer / Animator to help bring our mobile apps to life through purposeful, well-crafted animation.

This role is ideal for fresh graduates, self-taught creatives, or early-career designers seeking real production experience inside a product-driven environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with developers and designers to create animations that make our apps feel responsive, polished, and delightful.

Important:

This role focuses on product and UI animation, not video editing. Portfolios centered primarily on video editing or social media content may not be prioritized.

This is a long-term contract role with no fixed end date. Continuation is based on performance and team needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Create 2D animations for mobile UI elements such as buttons, transitions, onboarding flows, and loading states

• Design splash screens, celebration animations, and lightweight visual effects (particles, glows, confetti)

• Translate ideas and references into clean, production-ready motion

• Collaborate with developers to ensure animations perform smoothly inside the app

• Revise work based on feedback and product needs

• Help maintain a consistent motion language across the product

• Occasionally animate simple characters, avatars, or illustrated elements

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Strong understanding of animation fundamentals (timing, spacing, easing, anticipation, follow-through)

• Foundational skills in animation, motion design, or graphic design

• Ability to create original graphics or visual elements, not just animate templates or mockups

• A portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking and attention to detail

• Clear communication for remote collaboration

• Openness to feedback and continuous improvement

• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines

• Willingness to learn new tools as our product evolves

We care far more about what you can create than which software you use.

Great designers adapt quickly to new tools.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Exposure to UI animation or micro-interactions

• Basic illustration skills

• Experience preparing animations for mobile apps

• Understanding of vector-based workflows

• Ability to explain the thinking behind your animation decisions

School projects, personal work, and passion projects absolutely count.

Education & Experience
