We’re looking for a detail-driven and tech-savvy Electrical Estimator to join a dynamic team in delivering top-tier construction solutions. This role focuses on preparing precise and competitive estimates for electrical projects, utilizing industry tools like SimPro and e-takeoff software, while ensuring full compliance with Australian standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
  • Use SimPro for estimating, project costing, and job tracking.
  • Perform digital takeoffs using Groundplan, PlanSwift, or Bluebeam Revu.
  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine labor and material costs.
  • Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and relevant codes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and vendors for cost accuracy.
  • Prepare and review bill of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.
  • Assist in the design of solar PV and battery storage systems as per Australian standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for each project.
  • Provide technical support and answer cost-related queries from stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in the Australian electrical contracting industry.
  • Strong command of SimPro, Google Drive, Excel, and Monday.com.
  • Skilled in e-takeoff software (Groundplan, PlanSwift, Bluebeam).
  • Deep knowledge of Australian electrical codes and regulations.
  • Experience interpreting electrical plans, drawings, and contract specs.
  • Background in solar and battery system design is a plus.
  • High-level mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant trade or engineering qualifications (e.g., Cert III Electrotechnology, Diploma in Electrical Engineering).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, independent work ethic.
