About the role:

• The Fitout Designer is responsible for undertaking fitout deliverables (drawings, requisitions, reports, investigations, and trials) for the assigned project/tasks.
• The role is to ensure that the fitout deliverables meet the vessel specification, flag requirement (e.g. IMO High-Speed Craft Code/other), and the Classification Society requirements and are fit for their intended purpose. The deliverable needs to be undertaken as per the project schedule and budget requirements.
• This role requires good coordination and communication (written and verbal) with the design team (AP and AA/AV where applicable), production, and other external stakeholders (class/client/Supplier).

Key objectives & responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Undertake 2D and 3D fitout drawings in AutoCAD and Plant 3D/SHIPCON
• Prepare requisitions and provide technical support to the Fitout Design Team and production.
• Coordinate with Production and SCM

Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
• Has 2+ years relevant work experience in Aluminium or Steel shipbuilding projects.
• Good fitout design skills to meet vessel specifications & rules requirements.
• Strong technical skills and ability to problem-solve.
• Good knowledge of classification society/Flag rule requirement.
• Excellent competence of 2D/3D (AutoCAD)
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with design, production and project teams in written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical skills to undertaken problem solving and experience with calculations and using excel.

Desirable

• Aluminium shipbuilding experience
• Licensed Philippine Civil Engineer/Architect
• Familiarity with 3D or SHIP CAD software (SHIPCON)
