Description
- A Steelman, also known as a structural ironworker or steel worker, constructs, installs, and repairs steel structures for commercial and industrial purposes, fabricating steel frames, placing and bolting girders, and installing reinforcing steel bars.
Requirements
A good eye for detail and the ability to follow engineering instructions and technical charts and diagrams.
Good maths skills are necessary to work out and follow precise measurements.
Steel fixer jobs are physically demanding work, involving heavy-lifting, bending and working at heights
