• The Skilled Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining and repairing the physical assets of the motel to ensure a safe and functional environment for guests and staff.
• This role requires a variety of skills in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.

General Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and basic carpentry.
• Handle basic plumbing repairs including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
• Conduct electrical repairs such as replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets.

AC Systems

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC issues to ensure comfortable room temperatures for guests.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and motel policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and storage areas.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Order necessary parts and supplies to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and AC systems.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
