Management and operations

• Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution. 
• Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures. 
• Plan and schedule warehouse activities, such as the loading and unloading of goods. 
• Manage and optimize the physical layout of the warehouse for efficient space utilization. 
• Coordinate with other departments, suppliers, and transport companies. 

Staff and team leadership

• Supervise, motivate, and train warehouse staff.
• Plan and assign work schedules, and appraise staff performance.
• Coach and develop employees to ensure they are performing at their best.
• Ensure staff adherence to all safety protocols and company procedures. 

Inventory and record-keeping

• Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct regular stock takes.
• Implement and manage inventory control systems.
• Reconcile physical counts with data storage systems and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure all goods are properly labeled, tagged, and stored in designated areas.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments. 

Safety, security, and compliance

• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. 
• Safeguard warehouse assets by monitoring and enforcing security procedures. 
• Ensure all equipment, such as forklifts, is in good working order.
