About the Job

As a Tax and Finance Operations Assistant Manager for Menarini, you will be responsible for ensuring day-to-day and operational activities, including re-assessment and implementation of procedures and policies, related to Taxation and Finance Operations and assist in handling various projects, either initiated locally or regionally.

Responsibilities

Tax Functions

  • Responsible for all tax matters both direct and indirect taxes, compliance and planning, tax accounting, and discussions in coordination with Regional and Global Tax Teams. 

  • Ensures timely and correct payment of company taxes and related returns, submission of necessary documents.

  • Prepares requirements of the BIR and closely coordinate with tax advisors regarding BIR audits and issues. Ensures timely and correct filing and payment of annual business taxes.

  • Assist with planning and effecting tax strategies for the Philippines; Acts as primary point of contact for tax related questions and projects.

Closing, Statutory & Management Reporting

  • Ensures completeness of expenses to be recorded as part of the monthly closing activities.

  • Prepares regional & local reports related to month-end closing.

  • Responsible for account reconciliation and monthly balance sheet review including disposition of reconciling and action items as discussed during reviews.

  • Ensures submission and filing of annual audited FS and GFFS with SEC

SAP Concur SME

  • Acts as the point person for SAP Concur inquiries and conducts training to new hires and refresher to existing employees.

  • Ensures smooth coordination with Regional Concur team regarding Concur request and updates necessary.

Fixed Asset Management

  • Reviews Fixed Asset value upon disposal (Sale to employee or third party).

  • Works with the Fixed Asset Custodian to conduct the Periodic Fixed Asset Count and Asset Tagging.

Internal and External Audit

  • Participates in internal and external audit by preparing all audit schedules required by the external and internal auditor

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant

  • At least 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience on tax and accounting work, dealing with BIR

  • Expertise in local tax laws and application

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, Accounting, Treasury, Legal as well as Commercial teams to accomplish company goals

  • Willing to cover other Finance areas other than Tax and Accounting process
