Position: Media Relations Specialist

Qualifications:

• Education: A degree in Business Studies, Marketing Management, or a similar discipline is advantageous
• Experience: 3–5 years of media relations experience in a public relations agency
• Must have established relationships with media professionals across lifestyle, tech, sports, and general news
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of the public relations and digital marketing industries
• Work Environment: Must be able to operate in a hybrid work setup

• Proven track record in outreach campaign strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Independent, proactive, and self-motivated team player
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dedicated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and quickly adapt to new challenges
• Proficient in advanced software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar tools

Responsibilities:

• Prepare articles, press kits, press releases, and other content initiatives to engage the media effectively
• Cultivate and manage relationships with media representatives and bloggers across various sections and areas of interest
• Pitch press releases to targeted media outlets and blogs to generate coverage
• Secure 1:1 interviews (print, online, or broadcast) for brands and their executives
• Lead the dispatch of PR kits to media representatives and blogs
• Identify and pitch to the media for participation in earned and paid review programs
• Coordinate and manage media representatives and bloggers during familiarization tours and events
• Follow up with journalists and writers to ensure timely publication of pitches and outputs from media engagements
• Provide clients with consultancy and insights from a media relations perspective
• Monitor and clip news coverage generated from press releases and other media engagements to evaluate success and impact
