The Business
As a leading investment consultant, we help organizations, including pension funds, insurance companies and sovereign wealth funds to manage investment complexity, establish risk tolerance and improve governance. In Research we are looking to identify investment opportunities capable of adding value for our clients and to help our clients build investment programs that meet their investment objectives.
The Role
The Project Manager will play a crucial role in directing and managing change and transformation initiatives for the Investment business. This role requires a blend of business analysis and project management skills to ensure efficient delivery within time and budget constraints, aligning with the business goals and objectives. The incumbent will work closely with stakeholders across different functions and regions to drive alignment and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Strategic Change Management
- Support the strategic planning process for Investments, identifying and prioritizing key initiatives aligned with business objectives
- Develop and implement change management strategies and frameworks to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives
- Provide oversight and direction to project teams, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and objectives
- Monitor and track progress of change initiatives, identifying and addressing potential risks and roadblocks
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of strategic projects and initiatives
Business Analysis
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
- Develop detailed business cases, process maps, and functional specifications
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions to improve business processes
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure alignment with business needs
Project Management
- Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Coordinate and lead project meetings, ensuring clear communication and stakeholder engagement
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Performance Objectives
- Clients – take ownership of reports and build strong relationships with other teams
- Financial/Business KPIs – work efficiently and achieve chargeable hours target
- People – build strong relationships across various teams and support colleagues to create a good working environment
- Operational Excellence and Innovation – follow policies and guidelines; seek to develop more effective tools and products to support our clients and the business
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale change initiatives and projects, including process improvements, technology implementations, and organizational transformations
- Strong understanding of investment management principles and practices, with experience in asset management, wealth management, or institutional investing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Able to work closely with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives
- Able to liaise with external vendors and consultants as needed
- Strong understanding of business processes and change management principles
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in business analysis and project management
