Overview

Snap Dental is a fast-growing digital dental laboratory looking for an experienced Senior Exocad Designer & Scan/Design Quality Specialist to lead and elevate our digital design processes. This role combines advanced Exocad design work, high-level quality control, and leadership responsibilities. You will serve as a key member of our design team and play a major role in shaping future workflows, standards, and team development.

Responsibilities

1. Scan Quality Review

Evaluate incoming intraoral and lab scans for accuracy and completeness, including:

• Margin clarity
• Stitch consistency
• Bite relationship accuracy
• Tissue interference
• Missing or incomplete data
• Preparation quality
• Path of insertion visibility

Ensure only high-quality scans move into production.

2. Design Quality Review

Assess digital dental restorations for compliance with clinical and laboratory standards:

• Accurate margins and margin tracing
• Correct occlusion and contacts
• Proper path of insertion
• Restoration thickness and anatomical form
• Functional and aesthetic emergence profiles
• General symmetry, morphology, and fit

Document issues and ensure corrections before final approval.

3. Exocad Design Work

Perform advanced dental CAD design using Exocad, including:

• Single-unit anterior and posterior crowns
• Small bridges
• Cement-retained and screw-retained implant crowns
• Nightguards and bite splints
• Other standard restorations as needed

Design workload will increase as the internal team expands.

4. Leadership & Training

As a senior team member, you will help build and guide the design department:

• Develop and document design standards and workflows
• Train and mentor junior designers
• Review and approve their design outputs
• Assist in managing a growing internal design team
• Contribute to long-term operational and design strategies

This is a long-term pathway to Design Team Lead.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Exocad design experience
• Expertise in:

~Crown & bridge design

~Implant restorations (cemented & screw-retained)

~Margin tracing

~Occlusion & contact design

~Anatomy, morphology, emergence profiles

~Scan evaluation & digital workflow troubleshooting

• Fast, accurate, and consistent design execution
• Strong English communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred (Bonus) Skills

• Experience supervising or mentoring other designers
• Nightguard or removable design experience
• 3Shape CAD experience
• Deep understanding of occlusal principles
