The Material Planning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing material planning and inventory management to ensure uninterrupted production operations. This role involves supervising a team, managing production schedules, and coordinating with suppliers to maintain optimal material availability. The position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise material planning activities to meet production requirements

Develop and maintain production schedules and inventory plans

Monitor material availability and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery

Ensure accurate forecasting and efficient inventory management

Implement and maintain ERP systems for planning and reporting

Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce waste

Lead and mentor the material planning team, setting goals and monitoring performance

Resolve material-related issues promptly to avoid production delays

Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams for smooth operations

Prepare reports and provide insights for decision-making and process improvement

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

Experience:

2-4 years of supervisory experience in material planning, production scheduling, and inventory management

Preferably with experience in manufacturing or thermal industries

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with ERP systems and planning software

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
