The Survey Aide assists surveyors and field teams in conducting land, construction, and engineering surveys. This role supports data collection, equipment setup, field measurements, and documentation to ensure accurate and efficient survey operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surveyors in conducting field surveys for mapping, construction, and engineering projects.
• Set up, operate, and maintain survey equipment such as GPS units, total stations, and leveling instruments.
• Mark reference points and boundaries using stakes, flags, or other materials.
• Record measurements, observations, and site conditions accurately.
• Help ensure safety procedures are followed at survey sites.
• Carry field equipment and materials; perform basic manual labor when needed.
• Assist with downloading, organizing, and preparing survey data for analysis or reporting.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of survey tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the survey team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
• Basic understanding of survey principles and equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read maps, drawings, and instructions.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
