The Kitchen Helper will support the chefs in preparing hot and cold dishes, following recipes, and ensuring high-quality food standards. The role includes handling mise en place, cooking basic menu items, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. Experience in hotel kitchens and exposure to international cuisines is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook basic menu items under the supervision of the Chef
• Assist in preparing hot, cold, dessert, or soup stations depending on assignment
• Perform mise en place including chopping, slicing, marinating, portioning, and measuring ingredients
• Follow recipes accurately and ensure consistency of taste and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations
• Support the team during service, ensuring timely and accurate food production
• Practice food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries following FIFO and proper labeling
• Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Perform other kitchen-related tasks as required

Job Requirements

• With experience in hotel kitchens, restaurants, or catering
• Experience in handling international cuisines (Asian, Western, Mediterranean, etc.) is a strong advantage
• Knowledge in basic cooking techniques (sauteing, grilling, frying, baking, plating)
• Familiar with hot and cold kitchen operations
