About the Role:

Link Digital is in search of a reliable and accountable Finance Officer based in the Philippines, working as a remote independent contractor. This role is available as part-time or full-time, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.


For full-time applicants, we are looking for someone who can take on additional responsibilities beyond core bookkeeping like contributing to financial strategy, risk management, compliance and/or interdepartmental coordination. For part-time applicants, there is scope to grow into a full-time role, based on performance and demonstrated capability and capacity over time.


As our Finance Officer, you’ll play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the business. You’ll work closely with the Leadership Team and Product Owners to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with Australian regulations, and effective financial planning and analysis.


What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the full finance cycle including budgeting, payroll, invoicing, accounts, reporting, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with a 3rd party provider on payroll and finance processes in Canadian regulations.
  • Prepare and lodge Activity Statements with the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data in Xero.
  • Produce timely financial reports for the board, leadership, accountants, and auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and international tax requirements related to service exports/imports.
  • Liaise with insurance brokers to manage relevant policies.
  • Oversee all payroll functions including processing, superannuation, and leave management.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with our external accountant.
  • Implement and uphold the Profit First methodology across financial operations.
  • Be a key contact for finance-related matters across departments and external providers and clients, requiring strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ensure Finance documentations and processes are ISO 27001 compliant.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Diploma in Accounting/Finance or Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (or higher)
  • Proficient written and verbal English communication skills
  • 5+ years recent experience in a financial role
  • 2+ years experience working with an Australian company
  • 3+ years experience with Xero
  • Experience preparing and lodging Activity Statements with ATO (BAS & IAS)
  • Familiarity with international tax related to import/export of services
  • High standards of ethics, integrity, and accountability
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Reliable internet and ability to work from home
