Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and bill of quantities (BOQ) based on project drawings and specifications.
Evaluate variation orders, claims, and change requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with project contracts.
Analyze project budgets and recommend cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
Collaborate with project engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors to validate pricing and material costs.
Review construction plans, contracts, and tender documents to ensure proper cost projections.
Maintain updated cost databases, material prices, and subcontractor rates for accurate estimation.
Monitor ongoing projects to track budget utilization, cost overruns, and potential savings.
Prepare reports on cost comparisons, financial impacts, and variation summaries for management review.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to negotiate cost adjustments and claims.
Support the Project Management Team during tender evaluations, bidding processes, and feasibility studies.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not always required.

Experience:
Minimum 5 to 7 years relevant experience in cost estimation, variation analysis, and quantity surveying within construction or infrastructure projects.
Experience in high-rise, commercial, or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project, and cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, Planswift).
Strong knowledge of Philippine construction costing standards, contracts, and variation claim procedures.

Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills for dealing with stakeholders and clients.
