The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist is responsible for managing the billing and collections process while also providing excellent customer service support. This role involves handling financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting customers with inquiries related to their statements, payments, and account status. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable communicating with clients over phone and email.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and send accurate invoices to customers based on billing cycles or agreements
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on past-due accounts in a professional and timely manner
  • Apply incoming payments and ensure accurate posting to customer accounts
  • Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing issues
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or other channels regarding billing statements, payment methods, due dates, and account status
  • Take inbound calls from customers and assist with payment arrangements, clarifications, or concerns
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, payment status, and collection activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., accounting, customer support, or sales) to ensure accurate billing and address account concerns
  • Assist with preparing reports on AR aging, collections efforts, and customer communications


Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related accounting support role
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional, courteous phone manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial information with discretion
  • Prior experience working with US clients or in a remote setup is a plus
  • Willing to work 40 hours per week for any US Timezone (PH Nightshift)
