The Accounting Staff is responsible for providing support to the accounting department by performing various accounting duties, including maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.


Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable: Process and record incoming invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers. Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Accounts Receivable: Assist in managing customer payments, issuing receipts, and following up on overdue accounts.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger by recording financial transactions and ensuring proper classification.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
  • Miscellaneous: Handle other accounting-related tasks as needed, such as preparing financial analysis, assisting with budgeting, and providing administrative support to senior accounting staff.


Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and MS Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and other departments

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

  • Experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, MS Dynamics).
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and basic tax compliance.
