POSITION TITLE: General Ledger Supervisor (FA/BR/GL SEA)

WORK LOCATION: Pasig City

WORK SET UP: Full time | Day Shift | Onsite

SALARY: Php65k to Php70k


Department: Finance Operations – Record to Report

Business Unit: Global Business Services

Roll-up Division: Finance


Responsible in assisting the Record to Report Manager (SEA, FA, BR) to supervise and coordinate the General Ledger (GL) operations supporting South East Asia (SEA) countries. Ensures GL team provides timely, quality, and seamless support for end-to-end general ledger activities, inclusive of journals, adjustments, profitability analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation to the countries supported.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible in overseeing monthly financial closing activities, ensuring proper accounting records maintenance with accurate and timely financial reporting and/or other ad-hoc tasks within the SLA scope for in-scope countries (SEA).
  • Reviews work done by RTR Analysts and ensures they are performed accurately and timely according to company policy and/or country local accounting standard:
  • Journal entries for accruals/reclass/adjustment and P&L analysis.
  • Monthly financial reports (P&L) and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Works closely with Country / Region stakeholders to ensure accruals are properly justified and correctly posted.
  • Performs trend analysis and analytical review of P&L and balance sheet schedules. Responds to any queries from corporate or regional relating to the business unit performance.
  • Monitors clearance of aged balance sheet items on a timely basis. Researches complex discrepancies and determines appropriate course of action for clearance.
  • Prepares and maintains monthly management reports, monthly or quarterly reports, and yearly statutory accounts.
  • Supports, coaches, motivates, and provides timely guidance/support to staff when they face issues or problems.
  • Drives development and continuous process improvement initiatives, including process documentation, strengthening internal controls, and increasing team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supports and participates in IT projects for system change or enhancement.
  • Ensures proper staff backup plan is in place and timely reviewed. Backs up team members on daily tasks when required.
  • Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time.


Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / Finance or holder of a recognized professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, etc.).
  • Minimum 4–5 years working experience in Record to Report scope; preferably with minimum 1 year of supervisory role.
  • Preferable experience in a Global Finance Shared Services Centre or logistics industry.
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and tax rules.
  • A team player with strong sense of responsibility and able to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of English (written and verbal) to deal effectively with internal and external parties, especially when clearing reconciling items and issues.
  • Good sense of performance measurement; aligned and supportive in driving toward organizational goals with the team.
  • Strong data analytical skills and ability to handle high-volume transaction review with attention to detail and organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experienced in SAP or other ERP accounting software.

  • Demonstrates strong business collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad and diverse group of stakeholders within the global organization.
  • Drives continuous and performance improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiencies and improve work quality.
