Job Summary

We are seeking an HSE Training Manager-APAC to develop and implement effective HSE learning and development strategies that enhance awareness and promote risk reduction.


This role involves coordinating and managing training programs, initiatives, and communications to ensure the effective use of tools that keep our people safe while maintaining compliance with corporate requirements across the APAC region. Additionally, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of learning programs and HSE initiatives will be key to driving continuous improvement in overall HSE performance.


Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the implementation of corporate HSE training programs.
  • Monitor and report on training and program data and trends to assess effectiveness, evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of HSE training content with corporate requirements, industry best practices and lessons learnt from incidents and High Potential (HIPO) events.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders when planning and delivering HSE training courses and programs.
  • Review existing training programs; suggest enhancements and modifications, including the use of AI, to improve engagement, learning and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organisation.
  • Conduct or facilitate required training sessions for Group HSE Applications.
  • Coordinate or support the implementation, measurement and ongoing promotion of HSE Pillar-related initiatives such as Human Factors, TakeTime, Stop Work Authority, Commitments We Live By, Water and Waste strategies and Business in a Box.
  • Review and advise on Regional, Cluster and/or Operating Entity HSE Position Skills Matrices, training plans and Training Schedules
  • Identify communication requirements and stakeholders and promote HSE training initiatives and programs across the region.
  • Resolve specific learning and/or delivery problems and tailor programs as necessary.
  • Assist with the translation of training content.
  • Identify future HSE training needs and create a curriculum to facilitate that training.
  • Arrange seminars, conferences and workshops to promote the ongoing application of HSE programs, tools and behaviours to improve HSE performance.
  • Manage the implementation and ongoing promotion of DP World Operational Infographics to aid in awareness of risk and critical working environments.


Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Formal qualifications in Education, Learning and Development, Human Relations / People Development or related areas.
  • At least 5 years of experience in training development and implementation or similar role.
  • Certification in HSE or related discipline.
  • Experience in digital and technology-led learning and development.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Learning Management System (LMS) platforms, curriculum design and adult learning methodologies.
  • Experience in practical HSE management.
  • Project management skills.
  • Analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
