The Business Finance Manager is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis, overseeing regulatory and management reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data across departments. This role plays a critical part in budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring, while also supporting audits, tax compliance, and regulatory submissions. The manager will collaborate closely with accounting, treasury, and operations teams, provide insights to guide strategic decisions, and support the accurate accounting of loan transactions. This position demands strong analytical skills, a solid grasp of financial systems, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Analyze current and historical financial performance to prepare reports, forecasts, and financial models. Conduct benchmarking, variance, and ROI analysis. Track KPIs and deliver data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across departments. Monitor industry trends to provide sound financial advice.
  • Regulatory, Financial, and Tax Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate submission of all regulatory reports to BSP and other agencies. Prepare management financial reports, tax filings, and respond to audit and compliance requirements. Represent the Accounting Head when needed.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with accounting, treasury, and related teams for data gathering and report preparation. Assist in both internal and external audits, and handle various regulatory submissions.
  • Loans Accounting Oversight: Review and reconcile automated and manual loan accounting entries. Maintain understanding of financial structures related to loans within the Core Banking System. Support the development of policies and conduct training related to loan processes.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist in closing activities, ensure completeness of financial data, and provide necessary support for reporting cycles.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting & Support: Provide management with ad-hoc financial reports and assist in continuous improvement of workflows and internal controls.


Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA is a strong advantage)
  • Experience: At least 5–7 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, accounting, or regulatory reporting
  • Experience in banking or financial services is preferred

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting tools
  • Familiarity with BSP regulations and other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Experience with Core Banking Systems and ERP/Accounting software
  • Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
