About the role



We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Process Engineering to join our Process Engineering team at ZAMA Precision Industry Manufacturing Philippines, Inc. in Santo Tomas City, Batangas. As a key player in our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

What you'll be doing

• Leads and executes process engineering activities to ensure the maturity of newly developed technical textile harnesses, from conceptualization to SOP.

• Critically reviews customer drawings of textile harnesses, evaluating compatibility with existing equipment and process capabilities, and identifies, plans, and executes improvements as necessary.

• When needed, proposes design modifications that comply with customer requirements to reduce labor complexity and potential risks, and to optimize process costs.

• Defines the production process and material flow during Process Feasibility Studies (PFS) for new textile harnesses, including calculation of cycle times based on machine capabilities, test data, and MTM analysis, and validates them through run@rate and OEE data.

• Creates, reviews, and maintains PPFC, P-FMEA, WI, and other related documents, and is capable of instructing operators and technicians on their proper implementation.

• Plans, supervises, and supports prototype sample builds and ramp-up activities on-site until SOP.

• Ensures production capabilities meet customer requirements and QA standards by optimizing machine parameters, fixture designs, workstation setups, and sequences of manual operations.

• Monitors OEE data and drives continuous improvement in assigned areas through innovative solutions.

• Regularly reports and aligns scheduled activities with cross-functional international teams, PMO, and supervisor, demonstrating transparency, ownership, and urgency when needed. Communication is expected to remain fact-based and clear, even under pressure.

• Proactively contributes to achieving production KPIs and supports production operations when required.

What we're looking for

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering), with a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in process engineering and/or manufacturing of textile harnesses.

• Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing engineering principles and processes related to textile harness production; results-driven with a hands-on mentality.

• Proven track record of successful project completions and product launches from concept to SOP in previous roles, with a strong sense of ownership during and after the launch phase.

• Proficient in MLA tools such as PFMEA, PPFC, WI, control plans, 8D, PPAP, and PDCA.

• Extensive knowledge of production concepts, including 6S, Kaizen, OEE, TPM, and SMED.

• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Fact-based, clear, and transparent communicator in advanced written and spoken English; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, international teams across all organizational levels.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Willingness to travel to Germany and China.
