We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant and Administrative Support to work with our growing team in our beautiful office in Makati.


Responsibilities:

Regular tasks will include:


  • Processing all invoices received
  • File invoices and approvals in the filing system and capture in GL
  • Reconcile all bank accounts by updating GL for all entries.
  • Prepare semi-monthly payment runs, including preparing a spreadsheet of all payments and compiling a pdf copy of all the invoices
  • Load payments in NAB Connect or CommBiz once approved
  • Obtain/chase supporting documentation for all activity on various debit and credit cards, and process in GL
  • Identify recoverable travel costs, ensure complete, and prepare recovery invoices as appropriate
  • Review outstanding monies, chase payment, highlight slow payment for escalation
  • Flag any unexpected items with our office for escalation
  • Invoicing regular tenants
  • Process intragroup charges
  • Prepare monthly financial management reports
  • Process payroll for 15 staff across 4 entities
  • Ensure all HR records (staff files) maintained
  • Process PAYG withholding
  • Process Superannuation deductions and payments
  • Process Workers’ Compensation returns and payments



Annual Financial Accounting: 


  • Assist with the preparation of year-end audit and financial statements
  • General ledger reconciliation and assist with annual work papers for external accountants
  • Amortization schedules for properties and fixed assets
  • Reconcile externally prepared financial statements to internal accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecast models
  • Compliance obligations:
  • BAS preparation and lodgment in Australia
  • Employers’ superannuation contributions
  • Workcover wages declarations
  • PAYG reporting
  • Taxable Payment Annual Reporting



Company administrative tasks:


  • Monitor external accountants who maintain company secretarial records
  • Ensure all ASIC requirements and lodgments are attended to
  • Update and maintain Project WIP spreadsheets
  • General project assistance
  • Attend to queries from the business owner and other senior management personnel
  • Other ad-hoc tasks of a similar nature



Requirements:


  • Must be willing to work On Site
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in Financial Accounting including a good understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Strong MS Office skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to efficiently adapt to new software systems
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and comprehension skills & stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual
  • Excited to grow professionally
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
