- Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to medical diagnoses and procedures
- Review patient records to confirm treatments and identify missing information
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, payer requirements, and coding guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to clarify documentation
- Maintain and update patient data in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Respond to internal requests for medical information and support audits
- Stay current with coding updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices
