• Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign appropriate codes for inpatient and outpatient services using current coding systems.
• Ensure compliance with billing and coding regulations and guidelines.

• Continuously update coding knowledge to remain current with industry standards.

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field
• Experience Level: 1–3 years of experience in medical coding
• Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems including ED, EM, OP, inpatient, and outpatient coding
• Qualities and Traits: Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Skills and Competencies: CCS certification preferred
• Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in coding software and databases
