Key Responsibilities

• Apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems to inpatient medical records with accuracy and efficiency
• Analyze clinical documentation to assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes
• Work closely with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify records and resolve coding inconsistencies
• Maintain thorough documentation and uphold industry coding standards and regulations
• Track and report coding productivity and quality performance metrics
• Stay current with coding updates through ongoing training and professional development

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in any allied health or medical-related field
• Active certification in Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in inpatient or outpatient medical coding
• Solid understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding frameworks
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team
