Formerly Salcon Power Corporation, SPC Power Corporation (SPC) was incorporated on March 11, 1994. It is a venture company organized by members of the Salcon Consortium which entered into a Rehabilitation, Operation, Maintenance and Management (ROMM) agreement with the National Power Corporation (NPC) on March 25, 1994 for the purpose of undertaking the ROMM of the 203.8 megawatt (MW) Naga Power Plant Complex in Colon, Naga, Cebu.
SPC Power Corporation and its subsidiaries were incorporated in the Republic of the Philippines and registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The Parent Company is a venture company owned by members of the Salcon Consortium which entered into a Rehabilitation, Operation, Maintenance and Management (ROMM) Agreement with the National Power Corporation (NPC) on March 11, 1994 for the purpose of undertaking the 203.8 megawatt (MW) Naga Power Plant Complex (Power Complex) in Colon, Naga, Cebu under the ROMM Agreement.
The year 1994 marked the birth of Salcon Power Corporation, or SPC, which was formed to fulfill the obligitions under the ROMM contract, and more importantly, a mission to provide Cebu with a sustainable source of power. As a publicly listed Philippine corporation, SPC is authorized to primarily engaged in the design, construction, rehabilitation, operation, maintenance and management of power generation, supply and distribution of plants and related facilities.
