MiraMed Philippines Group, LLC, a subsidiary of MiraMed Global Services, Inc., offers inpatient, outpatient, and physician practice coding solutions. MMP joined the MMGS team through organic expansion in November of 2012. Tony Mira foresaw the growth of the coding industry fueled by upcoming legislative changes and sought a strategic advantage by engaging the skills of qualified staff in the Philippines.
MMP began commercial operations at One Corporate Centre, in the heart of Pasig City, a well-known business hub and district in the Philippines in 2012. Initially occupying 2,109 square feet of office space on the 7th floor, MMP, in response to increased growth, expanded up to the 15th floor of the same facility, adding another 12,841 square feet of office space by 2014. By the end of 2016, MMP increased its number of coding professionals with nearly 800 FTEs, most of which are credentialed medical coders in AHIMA (CCA, CCS-P, CCS) and/or AAPC (CPC, COC, CIC).
In late 2018, MMP occupied another floor in the same building to accommodate its ever growing coding team and make room for its back process staff for the full service customer call center operations.
The expansion increased MMP’s service offers allowing enhanced revenue cycle management (RCM) capabilities such as data entry, payment posting, provider enrollment, including insurance and self-pay follow-up.
